Student Ministries

"I would rather see a sermon
Than hear one any day,
I would rather one would walk with me
Than merely tell me the way."
-Edgar Guest

At the Creek, we love to provide Middle School and High School students with opportunities to serve, share, learn, eat and have fun together!  If you’re interested in getting involved in any of the activities highlighted below, please contact JD Sarginson: jd@creeklife.org

Sunday Gatherings: We get together on Sunday afternoons to enjoy a meal together, dive into scripture, and dream about ways we can better serve, love and learn together.  We’d love to have you join us!  We meet at Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church from 12:30-2:30.  Contact JD for more information and to confirm that we are gathering together this week!

Small Groups: Small groups are opportunities for students to meet in age/gender specific groups to share, discuss scripture, support each other, etc!  If you are interested in being part of a small group, please let us know!

Tutoring: One of the main ways that many of our students have enjoyed serving together is our Wednesday afternoon tutoring program!  We provide 1 on 1 tutoring for under-resourced 1st-5th grade students each week on Wednesdays from 3-5pm.

Global Focus: We have committed to spending at least a year learning about Human Trafficking while exploring ways that we can get involved in this critical, tragic issue.

Retreats: This year, we will be taking two student retreats.  These are opportunities to spend a weekend free from distraction where we can focus on time with God and each other!  Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

Special Events: We often get together for fun special events like ice skating, sky high sports, laser tag, board game nights, BBQ’s and more!  We place a high value on gathering together and enjoying time in community.  Keep an eye out for information on our next special event! Check out our Events Page.
