They and their two boys, Jackson and Carson, enjoy BBQing with friends in their backyard and spending time in Tahoe and Florida. Sabrina is working toward a master's degree in theology with a biblical studies emphasis at Fuller Theological Seminary. Her favorite things to do are reading the Bible first thing in the morning with a cup of hot chocolate, water skiing, mountain biking and sleeping.

Cynthia Sevin / Lori MacDonald

Cynthia Sevin / Lori MacDonald, Creekids

Cynthia has always had a passion for teaching.  After graduating from Fresno State, she taught science and ESL classes at Antioch High School for nearly 15 years.  She has been involved with the creekids ministry at nearly all age and grade levels, in addition to serving on other creek ministry teams.  Her passport includes mission work in Croatia, Nepal and France.  She and her husband, Eric, are active members of a non-profit organization started by his family.  They enjoy spending family time with their two young daughters swimming in their pool, sailing the San Francisco Bay and teaching their girls about God’s love.

Lori brings a wealth of backgkround and enthusiasm to the position of Grade School Director of Creekids. Before she was a full time mom to Connor, born in 2008, she taught math at Castro Valley High School. We have been blessed to have her as a Creekids teacher for the last several years.

JD Sarginson

JD Sarginson, Youth Intern

JD was born in Walnut Creek and lived in Contra Costa County for most of his life.  He grew up in a Christian home with two unbelievably supportive parents, a younger brother, Brad, and a younger sister, Kelly. There was also lots of extended family nearby.
He feels incredibly blessed to have grown up attending Hillside Covenant Church, where he was cared for in the nursery, the high school group, and everything in between.  By the end of high school, JD began to let sports move to the periphery of his life, and became much more involved in high school youth group where he began volunteering to help out with the middle school youth group. This led to an internship and then the job of Director of Student Ministries.
He loves working with students, and especially enjoys getting to walk with them as they wrestle with tough questions and begin discovering how to use their gifts to serve God, the church, and the world.
In his free time he loves to read, share meals with friends, play or listen to music, watch movies and follow sports, especially hockey.
